Hole tickets

Everyone's favorite hot mess, ok, well, not my favorite, Courtney Love is coming back to town with her 'band,' Hole.

I will admit, Hole was one of my favorite bands in 8th grade. I remember crying to my mom because I wanted to go to their Celebrity Skin tour so so bad. And as much as I would love to go to hear all of my favorite jams like "Doll Parts" "Violet" "Malibu" and their cover of Donovan's "Season of the Witch" I just don't think I will be able to get myself to go. Courtney Love sucks. She is pretty much one of the worse human beings in the world, up there with George Bush and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback in my book. Who loses custody of their 13 year old daughter because they can't get their shit together at 45? Courtney Love, that's who. And one more reason, the only guy in the band with any talent, Eric Erlandson (bless his soul for putting up with that horrid witch all those years) isn't even in the band. So basically the show will be like watching a shitty washed up cover band of Hole songs.

Awesome, right?

If I can get on the list for this show, I will go. However I WILL NOT fork over dolla beelz to buy First Avenue tickets for this one. First Avenue tickets are ridiculously expensive for this one, when clearly they should be free in an attempt to get 10 people to go to the show.

Deftones tickets

I must admit, buying a First Avenue ticket for the Deftones show on May 24th is tempting. They are band that can no longer sell out a Roy Wilkins size place, the theater district really isn't their scene so that leaves small clubs like First Avenue. Although they could easily sell out 2 shows, or maybe a venue that holds 3000 or so. I did not rush out and buy my First Avenue Deftones tickets because it does have a steep price of $30 which is a little too much for this girl to pay to go to a concert she is just dying to go to.

First Avenue tickets are sold out for the Deftones, which is no surprise. Small band little club after all. I have seen the Deftones a few times and I must say I don't know how Chino Moreno (lead singer) still does it. How the man has any vocal cords left the world may never know! He screams, he yells, he bellows. This will also be the Deftones' first tour without their founding member bassist, Chi, who was injured in a horrific car accident in 2008. Since the accident he has been in a coma. Man, I had no idea this happened. These guys used to be one of my favorite bands, it's horrible to hear stuff like this.

The Deftones are touring in release of their new album, Diamond Eyes, which is released this coming Tuesday, May 4th. This will be the bands 6th studio album (omg, I feel old, I remember when they had TWO)

First Avenue tickets are on sale now for the Monday, May 24th show ... if you can find them!
